OUR STORY
Beach Ballroom opened in 2022. After everything the world had just been through, it became obvious to the three of us that dance isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s essential to human connection, something too many people go their whole lives without really experiencing. That belief, that anyone can dance, they simply need to be shown properly, is what brought us together to build this place.
Richard and Laura built their lives around that idea long before the studio existed, rising through international competition together, Richard a two-time World Champion and two-time British Open Champion, Laura a British Champion and World Finalist, the two of them eventually ranked among the top twenty-four couples in the world. Yet for all the titles, what mattered most was never the trophy case. It was the quiet certainty that no one is born knowing how to dance, and that everyone deserves to be taught with real care.
Erin held that same conviction long before she ever had the vision of opening a studio herself, first as a mother watching her son fall in love with dance, then as a friend to the two people teaching him. Beach Ballroom came to life through that shared vision, the three of us building it together from the ground up. She became its third owner, bringing the business sense and grounded perspective that gave the vision its shape. Three different paths, one shared belief, and that belief is what opened these doors.
