Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 7, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Beach Ballroom’s studio, classes, memberships, private lessons, and website. By booking a class, purchasing a membership, package, or drop-in, or attending the studio, you agree to the terms below. Participation also requires signing our separate Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, see that document for full terms.

Bookings and Payment

All classes, courses, memberships, packages, and private lessons must be paid in advance. All purchases of packages and drop-ins are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another person.

Cancellation Policy

Group classes: cancel at least 12 hours before the start time to keep your credit. Inside 12 hours, the credit is forfeited. Private (1-on-1) lessons: cancel at least 24 hours before the start time to keep your credit. Inside 24 hours, the credit is forfeited. Cancel group classes through your account online or via the app. For private lessons, please contact us directly to cancel.

Same-Day Standby

If you’ve had a late cancellation on a group class, you’re welcome to show up standby for a different class the same day if a spot is open. Standby spots can’t be reserved in advance and aren’t guaranteed.

Late Arrivals

We have a strict no-late-entry policy after 5 minutes past the scheduled start time, for safety, to avoid disrupting other students, and out of respect for our teachers. If you’re not present in the studio room 5 minutes after class starts, you won’t be able to attend that class.

Waitlists

Our waitlist holds up to 10 people on a first-come, first-served basis. You’ll be notified in the order you joined the list if a spot opens up.

Studio Policies

Beach Ballroom is an adults-only facility (18+). We don’t allow children in the studio, for the experience of other guests and for liability reasons. Pets aren’t permitted during classes. Service animals are always welcome in accordance with Canadian accessibility laws. We’re not responsible for lost or stolen property. Please leave valuables at home. Items left behind are held for two weeks, then donated. We ask all students and guests to follow our studio etiquette: arrive on time, dress appropriately for movement, be respectful of instructors and fellow dancers, and keep phones silenced during class.

Assumption of Risk

Dancing and related physical activity carry an inherent risk of injury. All participants are required to sign our Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement before taking part in any class, lesson, or event. See that document for full terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page.
