Richard Lifshitz

Richard's journey into the world of movement began on ice skates at the age of two. By seven, his natural athleticism and artistic flair led him to transition from ice hockey to the world of ballet at L'École Supérieure De Ballet Du Quebec, a prestigious training school. His passion for movement extended to figure skating and Ballroom & Latin Dancing, setting the stage for a diverse and accomplished career.

Achieving his first world title at just 15, Richard has since continued to make waves in the dance community, training alongside top professionals in the UK and partnering with Laura to return to Toronto, where they've mentored a new generation of elite Canadian dancers.

As the founder of Beach Ballroom, Richard leads with a blend of technical precision and infectious enthusiasm. Beyond coaching, Richard is known for his innovative approach to dance education, pioneering new methods that blend traditional techniques with modern creativity. His goal is to inspire a love for dance and fitness in everyone who walks through our doors, fostering a community where passion and skill come together in vibrant expression.
